Nexus Lies Lend False Security

Mille Lacs News Staff Writer

Nexus has stated "During the past five years, we've had no incidents, [of crime]..." And "in the last decade, we have had only one incident..." (see MLA 'fact sheet.) In fact, Nexus provided false information to the City of Onamia and the Mille Lacs County Board of Commissioner in order to receive property tax abatement. Isn't that fraud?

The following is a summary of 911 calls made to the Onamia Police Department or Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office from Nexus/Mille Lacs Academy. These records are public information, but because they are juveniles, names have been redacted. Below are only the incidents requiring the assistance of law enforcement.  No records are available to us for in-house incidents handled by MLA staff.

Total calls = 389 (including false fire alarms and medical calls), some with multiple Deputies responding
